Jenn Wells,

I have been an accountant for decades, and have worked with hundreds of small business owners for over 30 years. I love numbers, spreadsheets, and Quickbooks. 

I started my career in the accounting department of Seattle's Best Coffee back in the 80s. I opened my practice in 1991, and worked many years with my father in our thriving accounting tax practice, mainly catering to the fishing community of Ballard in Seattle.

I moved from Seattle to Port Townsend in 2001. I purchased and operated The English Inn B&B. I ran the Port Townsend/Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce before moving to Ventura, CA to run a Chamber in California in 2011. I loved working to support the communities I live in and love. (and of course, I always did all the books for my Chambers!). I moved back to PT in 2016, because, we all know, you can’t stay away from this place for long!

During all that time, I still worked with my accounting clients. (I have had one client for over 25 years!)

I have found that working with entrepreneurs and helping them with their business books and finances suits all my skills. I go way beyond just 'doing the books’. I am able to get beyond the confusion and fear around money and business, setting my clients up for success by helping them understand how to manage their business money.

I am a Quickbooks Pro Advisor. I am also a Certified Money Coach and help clients understand their money mindset.

I run my accounting office out of the back of my crystal store Soulful Abundance. (I know, another crazy Jenn thing!)

I love spending my time in the beautiful Pacific Northwest in the quaint tiny tourist town of Port Townsend with my dog Sophie.

How we will work together:

  • As your Accountant/CFO, I am your partner in helping you with your business finances.

  • I work with Quickbooks and Google Docs to organize and prepare your accounting records and financial reports.

  • I love to connect with your CPA or tax preparer so we both understand your tax situation and how you can save the most money you can on your taxes. (I do not do business or personal taxes).

  • I help you with budgeting and forecasting, taking a look at where you want to go and how you are going to get there.

  • I provide you with monthly financial reports and any other agreed-upon reporting.

  • I do all your business accounting so you are ready at tax time, saving you a ton of money that you will NOT be paying your CPA.

  • This will be an intimate relationship. Money brings up 'stuff', we'll get through it together.

I take a personal interest in every client’s financial success and overall well-being. I'm not just a boring accountant. When you place your trust in me, I take that as a sincere compliment and do my best to live up to and surpass your expectations. I want to share my business knowledge, successes, and how to avoid the stress that comes with the growth of business, and be a part of helping you and your business as you build, grow, and succeed. I will provide you with my experience, education, and expertise to ensure your business books are precise and well-maintained.
